2009 Ceilidh Trail – traditional music in Inverness

The Caledonian Canal Ceilidh Trail is an annual event in the Inverness area, running for 4 weeks from mid July, and showcasing local musicians performing traditional song, dance and music in various locations round the area. Most events are free, and some include Loch Ness boat trips with Jacobite Cruises – check the programme for more details. On Mondays from 4 until 5pm informal music sessions are taking place at Urquhart Castle, on the shores of Loch Ness.

The Ceilidh Trail culminates with the Tartan Heart Festival at Belladrum, Beauly, on 7 and 8 August.
