Forthcoming exhibitions in Inverness – contemporary fine and applied art at the Castle Gallery

As described in the Independent newspaper, the Castle Gallery on Castle Street is one of the best reasons to visit Inverness.

With gallery space located over 2 floors, the Castle Gallery offers a wonderful selection of works from both established artists and emerging talent. Its constantly changing exhibitions feature contemporary paintings, sculpture, hand-made prints, crafts and designer jewellery.

A joint exhibition of the works of Bronwen Sleigh and Samantha Bryan takes place from 5 to 26 September. An exhibition of Shazia Mahmood’s paintings follows, from 3 to 24 October.

For art lovers looking for an Inverness B&B, Trafford Bank guest house has an extensive and exciting collection of works (paintings, ceramics and sculptures) from many Castle Gallery featured artists such as Jonathon Shearer, Dorothy Stirling, Katy Spong, Michael Ross, June Carey, Ian McWhinnie, Eoghan Bridge and Marie Prett.

Works by other fine Castle Gallery artists, including Shazia Mahmood, Bronwen Sleigh, Nicola Slattery and Donald Hamilton Fraser can be enjoyed by guests staying at Moyness House B&B.
