Inverness Events and other events near Inverness for 2013

Here are some of the Inverness Events that are scheduled to take place in or near Inverness for 2013 including the Scottish Open Golf Championship, RockNess, Loch Ness Marathon, Inverness Highland Games, Blas Festival and Belladrum.

Events 2013

31 May 2013: Northern Roots Music Festival with traditional, roots and bluegrass music…truly world class musicians in attendance.

7 - 9 June 2013: Rock Ness Concert at Dores Inverness. Music festival on the shores of Loch Ness.

11 - 14 July 2013: Scottish Open Golf Championship 2013 will be held at Castle Stuart Golf near Inverness.

20 July 2013: Inverness Highland Games in Northern Meeting Park will take place as part of the Inverness Summer Festival. Founded in 1822 the Games are one of the most spectacular traditional Gatherings staged in Scotland and are one of the highlights of any visit to the Highland Capital.

1 August 2013: Black Isle Show at Mannsfield Showground, Muir of Ord. This is the largest agricultural show in the North of Scotland.

2 & 3 August 2013: Highland Field Sports Fair at Moy Hall The fair offers a diversity of entertainments and activities for all of the family, from creche facilities to archery! The emphasis is on field sports activities with competitions in fly casting, gun dog handling and clay pigeon shooting.

2 & 3 August 2013: Belladrum – Tartan Heart Festival on the Belladrum Estate, by Beauly. Family-orientated outdoor festival of rock, country, blues and world music.

24 August 2013: Glenurquhart Highland Games at Blairbeg Park, Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness.

6 - 14 September 2013: Blas Festival Club.

29 September 2013: Loch Ness Marathon plus 5K and 10K River Ness fun runs. The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon takes place along the shores of Loch Ness. Book accommodation early as everywhere gets booked up quickly.

13 -15 December 2013: Ness Islands Festive Event. A wonderful floodlit walk in one of the nicest parks in Inverness. Theme to be announced.

December 2013: The 2013 Red Hot Highland Fling is the Highlands biggest free Hogmanay Party at Northern Meeting Park Arena. Come and see in 2014 in style.
