The Red Room – Eden Court Threatre

The Red Room is showing at the Eden Court Theatre on Friday 25th September 2009. David Hughes and Al Seed have paired up again to create a shocking interpretation of The Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe.

Having barricaded himself in his indulgent mansion a prince entertains a party of revelers whilst outside the world is on the verge of an apocalypse. Mixing dance traditions with incredible phyiscal theatre this show is a real horror for the stage.

After a massively successful season with sell-out audiences at the Traverse Theatre as part of the Edinburgh Festival programme The Red Room received rave reviews and won a coveted Herald Award.

“Intense and complex….performed flawlessly” The Financial Times

“Savage and elegant dance theatre” The Guardian
