Rod Stewart concert Inverness – see Rod Stewart at the Caledonian Thistle Stadium

It’s just been announced that Rod Stewart is to play a concert in Inverness, performing at the Caledonian Thistle Stadium on 17 July 2010.

All 18,000 tickets for the event are expected to sell out quickly, according to the Press and Journal, with more than half sold within days of the announcement. Tickets are available from TicketMaster.

As happened for the Elton John concert at the Caledonian Thistle Stadium in 2007, there will be huge pressure on accommodation in Inverness, as the concert takes place during the peak summer season. Concert goers are urged to book their Inverness accommodation now. If you’re planning to visit Inverness for the Rod Stewart concert, take the opportunity to spend a few days enjoying the Highland capital. The Inverness Guest House Association website has plenty of information on things to do in Inverness, Inverness restaurants, Highland castles, what’s on in Inverness, shopping in Inverness, Highland attractions and historic sites, Inverness entertainment and Highlands golf.

River Cafe & Restaurant Inverness

Accommodation Inverness Close To River Ness

River Ness

River Cafe & Restaurant in Inverness is located on the banks of the River Ness at 10 Bank Street with great views of the water.

The cuisine is excellent and is made using fresh, local produce and is served in a relaxed and well laid out dining room with contemporary decor. Having sampled the Prawn & Mussel Stew I can strongly recommend ordering this especially if you, like myself, are a keen seafood fan.

If you are booking accommodation in Inverness ask your hosts to reserve a table for you!!

Blood Brothers – Eden Court Theatre Inverness

Blood Brothers will be returning to Eden Court Theatre in February 2010.

This musical which was written by Willy Russell tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences. The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.

No many musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning BLOOD BROTHERS, and Bill Kenwright’s production, having recently celebrated its 21st phenomental year in London, continues to enjoy standing ovations at every devastating performance. No wonder BLOOD BROTHERS is now ‘The musical for all time’.

Tickets are available from the Eden Court Box Office on 01463-234234 or you can book online.

If you are suffering from New Year Blues why not spend a few days in Inverness and enjoy the show, have a great meal at one of the many excellent Inverness Restuarants and choose your Inverness Accommodation from the best bed and breakfasts in Inverness
