On 26 October the Highland Archive and Registration Centre opens in a new dedicated building in Bught Park Inverness. The £10.5 million centre incorporates an archive conservation unit and a dedicated family history centre. This state of the art centre utilises specialised environmental controls in the archive repositories, to assist in the preservation of paper, parchment and other record formats.
