The annual Art, Craft & Food Fair (run by Exclusively Highlands for local artisans) takes place at Eden Court on 20, 21 and 22 November, and is always a treasure trove for Christmas gifts, including handmade jewellery, textiles, wood turning, paintings, sculpture, handmade soaps, ceramics and other high quality artwork. On 28 and 29 November Exclusively Highlands is hosting a Victorian Christmas Fair at Brodie Castle. The Art, Craft & Food fair will be back in Inverness on 12 December at Inverness Town Hall.

The Eastgate Centre has an excellent range of well known High Street shops and department stores, while the Victorian Market features specialist shops offering a tempting selection of both quirky and conventional gifts.

The Christmas Lights switch on takes place on 22 November (further details to be announced soon) and is always guaranteed to get young and old alike into the Christmas spirit!

The Inverness Christmas pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, will be running from 7 December and is the perfect antidote for tired folk after a busy day Christmas shopping!

Inverness Christmas pantomime 2009 – Jack and the Beanstalk

The Inverness Christmas pantomime for 2009 is Jack and the Beanstalk, with performances at Eden Court Theatre running from Monday 7 December until Sunday 10 January.

This year’s panto features the BIGGEST Giant in pantoland, along with spectacular scenery, beautiful costumes, hilarious slapstick and plenty of audience participation.

The Inverness Christmas pantomime is one of the most popular pantomimes in Scotland and attracts audiences from all over the Highlands. As always, tickets are in high demand and advance bookings are essential.
