Inverness winter scene – the River Ness

River Ness

River Ness

Inverness is still experiencing cold and sunny weather, and is looking very beautiful draped in snow. The continuing poor weather in the south of the UK is disrupting visitors’ plans, but for those lucky enough to be here at the moment they are seeing the city centre and the surrounding landscape are a real winter wonderland.

Inverness Guest House Association members are reporting a quiet time just now, following the very busy period between Christmas and the New Year. If you’re considering a visit to Inverness to enjoy the wintry beauty, check out our Inverness bed and breakfast association website to see a selection of the best places to stay in Inverness. IGHA is the leading organisation for quality accommodation in Inverness, and all members are located within the city and all have been quality assessed by the AA or VisitScotland.

Yesterday Inverness got some of the snow that the rest of the UK has been receiving and the City looked absolutely stunning. With the snow still falling we took our dog, Branston, for a walk across the fields, through Ness Islands and along the River Ness.

River Cafe & Restaurant Inverness

Accommodation Inverness Close To River Ness

River Ness

River Cafe & Restaurant in Inverness is located on the banks of the River Ness at 10 Bank Street with great views of the water.

The cuisine is excellent and is made using fresh, local produce and is served in a relaxed and well laid out dining room with contemporary decor. Having sampled the Prawn & Mussel Stew I can strongly recommend ordering this especially if you, like myself, are a keen seafood fan.

If you are booking accommodation in Inverness ask your hosts to reserve a table for you!!
